There was a time when disposable plastic bags were widely used .Most of these bags were offered by shops for free,which undoubtedly had brought us great convenience in our daily life.
However,the extensive use of these bags do bring masses of problems.
First of all,the uncontrolled application led to a social phenomenon,the so-called ‘white pollution’.As is known to all,how to dispose of used disposable plastic bags used to put people into a difficult position.Burning might bring air pollution.Burying was of no use as plastic is a non-biodegradable material.It was also impossible to make people reuse the used disposable plastic bags at that time.As a result,used bags were littered everywhere.During the most severe time,discarded plastic bags could be seen in all places.Furthermore,the plastic bags fluttering in the air would cut off drivers’ sight and result in traffic accidents.
Before things had gone so far,the government took an effective measure.That is,to limit the use of disposable plastic bags.People can’t use disposable plastic bags without paying anymore.In result,people not only reduce to use but also try to recycle disposable plastic bags,which improves the ecological environment a lot.The ‘white pollution’ has been solved.
